Other things to note 1. Master Bedroom: In the closet, there are 2 additional mattresses (twin and full floor mattresses) and complete set of linens/pillows/blankets for each. Plenty of room to set up in any of the bedrooms and easily moved where the extra bed space is needed. 2. 3rd Bedroom: Setup as a Queen and 2 twin beds, however, there is an option to convert the two twins into king bed if preferred. Please request this option in advance and we will have it ready. 3. All Bedrooms (Optional): We have just installed track room curtain dividers in each of the bedrooms to have the option to separate bed space for privacy. Easily draw them closed to minimize sound and light between beds in room. (New in feb 2021). 4. Office space (2) : full size desk/chair with printer in master bedroom sitting area. Smaller desk/chair setup in 2nd bedroom as well. 4. Garage: large, oversized, heated garage that extends the living/gathering space with bar area, couch, table, game area, speakers/sound system/karaoke setup, and full screen and projector for movies/TV watching! 5. There is a TV in the living room that includes Netflix and Basic Cable' The kitchen offers all the basic pots, pans & utensils, as well as coffee, tea, and basic condiments. There is a selection of books for both children & adults. Scrabble, cards ,games, etc.. There are lots of flowers, birds, butterflies as well as other wildlife. Great for photography. Parking for boat/snowmobile trailer.

With 2 stories, it provides for spacious 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, kitchen with adjacent dining room and a family room with plenty room to gather! Wauconda has been welcoming visitors for short term stays since before it's inception in 1872. Recently the village has decided to break from it's roots of recreation and invitation by limiting outside visitors via an attempt to apply zoning regulations to short term rentals increasing the risks for for short term rental hosts. We are hopeful Wauconda turns back to it roots and traditions by welcoming back short term visitors to the area soon. Great Wolf Lodge/Indoor Waterpark and Six Flags Great America in Gurnee are only 27 minutes away. (Non rush hour) The neighborhood is a newer, upscale,and well kept subdivision of Wauconda featuring large side walks on each side of the street and multiple parks. In the winter you might see the bravest kids playing in the snow and their dads snowing blowing their driveways. In the warmer months you'll likely hear and see children playing outside and smell the dads grilling outdoors. One of the longest bike trails (35 miles) of all of Chicago land called the Millennium Trail is among us and leads to nearby forest preserves. Go for a walk, run, or bike ride. (Need a bike or bike trailer. I maybe able to help you with that. Just ask.) Want to get to the city but don't want to deal with traffic and parking? There are 4 Chicago Metra stations within a 15 min drive. My preference is Prairie Crossing which is actually two train stations in one where two separate train lines intersect. (Train lines Milwaukee District North (more popular ) and North Central.) If your staying a few days make sure to get to the city at least once. It's very easy and weekends are discounted. Uber and Lyft both run out here. You are booking the entire house except the basement of which I occupy at times. I enter the basement through a private entrance and utilize no other areas of the property. The basement access door from inside the house is locked in both directions.

There is a community park located directly across the street from the house for even more fun for the kids! We are located about 50 miles northwest of Chicago and 56 miles south of Milwaukee. There are several Metra train stations within a few miles you can hop on that will take you right into the heart of Chicago. There are many lakes and forest preserves in the area for walking, bike riding, and water recreation. Six Flags Great America is just under 10 miles away for all the theme park enthusiasts as well as the Gurnee Mills Mall, largest shopping mall in Illinois. Grocery stores, movie theaters, libraries, and many other fun things to do just minutes away.
